I came with my husband to have a little local relaxing escape… This place is perfect for that! Felt like we were visiting family, loved the vibe of the cabin, very welcoming. We had some small concerns right away and the owner was helpful and quick to find a solution, I was impressed! Peaceful slice of paradise, thank you for sharing your place with us for a few days! Highly recommended. (We don’t have kids, but we both thought if we had come as children this place would have blown our minds, the playground, the games, the bunk room… Your children will be in heaven here, it if you’re a kid at heart you will be too!)

A beautiful property with views that are impossible to get bored of. The perfect VRBO. Lots of things to do for the kids. Close to beaches and hikes. Definitely would love to return.

Our family stayed at Halfmoon Bay Cottage for 5 nights and what a wonderful stay we had. The cottage was so well appointed, we felt at home immediately. The view was stunning and the property was beautiful. Every little detail well thought out. Our boys loved the playground and Rock Room as well as being so close to great beaches and hikes. We look forward to returning again!

We had a wonderful time staying at this cottage. The deck was great for entertaining, with a beautiful view. The kids loved the playground (zipline and trampoline were amazing). The outdoor shower was great. We look forward to staying there again.

This holiday home was beyond expectations. We had several things planned to do and honestly I cancelled about half of those things because the home was so cozy and view so spectacular that there was no reason to do anything else. Our 8 year old also didn’t want to leave the house (but in a good way)!! Both kids enjoyed the bunk beds and outdoor play area. As for the adults we couldn’t get enough of the propane fire pit on the deck, the BBQ, and the hot tub!!! Waking up here with a coffee was a memory I won’t soon forget. Can’t wait to go back! Oh and if you’re a nature lover you will appreciate all the birds and seals. So many beautiful sounds to enjoy.

Had a girls trip here and it was the perfect spot. The cabin feels like home but has everything you might want, gorgeous ame ities and views that can’t be beat. Hart was easy to communicate with and was very responsive. I can almost guarantee we’ll be back.

The pictures shown in the listing only begin to capture the appeal of this place. So, if you like what you see online, you’ll probably be even more happy when you arrive. I was a bit nervous that I couldn’t see pictures of the bedrooms or bathroom in the listing, but there was no need to be. The whole house is consistently updated and decorated with the pictures you see in the listing. Towels and linens were clean and plentiful and the beds were comfortable. Upstairs, the master bedroom is very big, with plenty of room to set up a travel crib, and the second bedroom upstairs has bunk beds. The third bedroom downstairs is smaller, but still very accommodating for one or two people. Restaurants, take-out coffee, groceries etc. require a short drive (10-30 mins, depending what you’re after), but there is a tiny market and coffee shop within a 3 minute drive or a 10-15 minute walk. After our daily adventures, we were more than happy to pick up groceries, park the car and capitalize on the hot tub, well-equipped kitchen, the bbq and the deck. More on the deck: it’s got a bar type set-up with stools that face the water so you can sit with your cup of coffee or a glass of wine, observe the birds and seabirds, watch for whales and sea life (use the binoculars provided!), and listen to the wind in the trees. There’s plenty of other outdoor furniture, a hammock, as well as a large covered area so you can still be outside if it rains. Also, the deck has a gate so your little ones can join you outside without the fear they’ll topple off into the garden. Inside the dining room table, kitchen and living room all have the same beautiful view as you get on the deck. Though there’s only one bathroom (it’s bright and clean and has a bath tub), the outdoor shower is very private and lovely to use—a quintessential Canadian west coast experience. The outdoor shower also means that the toilet doesn’t get tied up while someone showers. The host was very friendly, professional, and responded quickly to our questions. We’re already booked to go again!
